After School Tutoring

Our After School Enrichment program is provided for elementary school students. After school programs are important to keep children safe and add structure to the time they spend between school and home. The After school Enrichment program will help children by providing homework assistance, and educational enrichment in addition to healthy snacks and a safe environment in which to learn, play, and socialize with their peers in a healthy and positive manner. This program component will help in safeguarding young school aged children from harmful influences and behaviors that often stem from loneliness, boredom or lack of supervision, and provide structured activities. The program will keep children safe in a supervised environment as a positive alternative to being unsupervised in the home or in the community.

Our Homework Club is a part of our after school enrichment program and provides children assistance with homework assignments and study skills. After a nutritious snack, we encourage students to begin concentrating on their homework assignments with assistance and guidance from our after school staff. Children will have for their use supervised internet access and resource materials. We at Garden Day Upward Prep are very family oriented; therefore we know the importance of time spent with family. We hope that providing our Homework Club to children will create more quality family time at home where parents can relax and enjoy their quality time with their children after their long day apart.
